Publications of the ESBC

The Entomological Society of British Columbia produces three publications: the Journal of the Entomological Society of British Columbia is published annually, the newsletter (Boreus) is published biannually, and Occasional Papers are published occasionally, when content merits.  Members are automatically subscribed to all three publications upon joining the ESBC; other interested individuals and institutions can subscribe to the Journal by contacting:

Journal of the Entomological Society of British Columbia

The Journal of the Entomological Society of BC is published annually. All members receive a subscription to the Journal; many institutions also subscribe or exchange journals. Papers for the Journal need not have been presented at meetings of the Society, nor is it mandatory, although preferable, that authors be members of the Society. The chief condition for publication is that the paper have some regional origin, interest or application; please see current and recent issues.  Line drawings or photographs as candidates for the cover are also accepted.
Contributions should conform to the standards outlined in the Journal. Submissions and correspondence should be sent to the editor:

Boreus

Boreus, the Newsletter of the Society, has historically been published in June and December. It contains entomological news, comments, reports, reviews, member profiles, and notices of meetings and other events. While emphasizing the Society's affairs, Boreus provides members with a forum for their views and news of British Columbian entomology.

ESBC Serials Collection

The Entomological Society of British Columbia has published its Proceedings and Journal continuously since March 1906.  In addition to personal subscriptions, the Journal is exchanged around the world with other professional and amateur entomology groups.  These exchange materials are now available on line: to view click here.

Occasional Papers

Occasional Papers are published for taxonomic works or other scientific studies of entomological relevance in BC which do not fit the terms of references for the Journal. Please send inquiries to the Journal Editor, address above.
